* 19,533 people including 8,011 women have received technical assistance and entrepreneurial training from GRATIS/RTTCs. (This includes training in income generating projects in food processing, beekeeping and textiles production in 42 communities). * 1,007 young men and woman have been trained under the 3-year RTTC Technical Apprentice Training Programme for self-employment since 1996 up to date. * 961 people, (85% female) have been trained in batik and tie and dye cloth making and broadloom weaving. 70% of them have set up their own businesses. |
* 200 blacksmiths in the Central and Northern regions have been provided with training to upgrade their skills. * 472 people have been assisted with working capital to start and expand their business. * 98 people have been assisted with equipment's on hire purchase to improve their business operations |
